RESUC- Handing over of computer equipment to social centres
On 23 August, 100 social centres in the ten regions received computer equipment at the Ministry of Social Affairs for the implementation of the Unified Social Register of Cameroon (RESUC), a
national mechanism for registering socially vulnerable persons. The ceremony, chaired by Minister Pauline Irène NGUENE and attended by UNICEF's deputy representative, followed the first ordinary session of the RESUC Permanent Monitoring Committee, held on 22 August at the Yaoundé Hilton Hotel.
The goal of this action is to strengthen the technical and material capacity of these pilot social centres to register vulnerable households and persons on request.
Each social centre received:
* Financed by the Public Investment Budget of the MINAS
- 01 complete computer (screen, CPU, printer, inverter, multiplug)
* Financed jointly by Minas and Unicef
- 01 4G modem for Internet connection
- 01 6-month internet subscription.
