Human trafficking and migrant smuggling
The first session of the platform for exchange and consultation between the Cameroonian government and civil society on the fight against human trafficking and the smuggling of migrants took place on 7 June 2024 at
the Ministry of Social Affairs, chaired by Pauline Irène NGUENE.
A number of actors from non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations and associations, all active in this field, were present.
The meeting identified specific actions to be taken as part of the associations' respective action plans to combat human trafficking and migrant smuggling
